Buhay GK Buksan Mo

Last February 25, 2007, We celebtaed the 1st Anniversary of GK 1MB. In GK Onyx, Sta. Ana Manila, we had a GK empowerment session in the morning after the Mass at 8:00 o'clock. In the afternoon we had an amazing race. It was indeed an exciting afternoon together with the other participants. The challenges in the race includes Gawad Tuklasan were we got to know the people in the GK Onyx site. The second challenge was Gawad Kalinisan, we filled the black garbage bag with trash from the surroundings. The third was Gawad Kasaysayan were we were ask to draw the changes we have seen in the site and from the tranformation we did a poetry by drawing inspiration from the miracle that happened in the site. The fourth challenge was Gawad Kaligayahan was the hardest were we tried to make the Sagip kids laugh, it was the most challenging part of all, we tried 4 times with only 2 minutes each trial. All the groups could have given up, but with a little more perseverance and a little clown show ,the kids finally gave us a loud laugh... mmmm... And the final challenge we did the "GK Haka" twas fun!

I had a great and meaningful experience. It made me love my country even more by loving the poor. It's a blessing afterall that I am still here. I am blessed to be a Filipino, because every Filipino is a Hero!

surprise flowers

  Want surprises?  I got one! after a one week trip to Bicol, i recieved a bunch of pink and white flowers at the Hotel lobby. I felt a sudden rush of blood on my cheeks as 77 friends witnessed this moment. Who ever gave this flowers, thank you so much, you're so sweet!
